We also have another cloud product, SuccessFactors, which we will be implementing soon. Even though we have the licenses for PI, we are not currently using it. I'm trying to determine the best approach for implementing integration with our cloud products (C4C, SuccessFactors) and on-prem ECC with minimal re-work (in case we use PI initially, b/c its free at the moment). I would rather start correctly at the beginning...but also this thread was to see if there can be a determination of work required to change from PI to HCI in future (which Eng Wee above mentions above ther may be a lot of rework)...yes?
