Drop down in sap design studio 1.6

HI Experts,

As of now we are using DS 1.5  inorder to populate values in Drop down we are  writing script .in 1.6 is there any method script free like directly we can bind ds to drop down and automatically data should populate to Drop down

I Heard from 1.6 most of them are script free

Can any one brief me what are the things are script free would be very helpful
