Hi Rizwan,
If you are getting 404 error when opening the CMC page then below are the steps you need to follow :
- Stop the Tomcat and then navigate to <rootboinstall>\Tomcat\Work\Catalina\localhost and rename the localhost folder tolocalhos_old. Then Restart the Tomcat. DO NOT OPEN THE PAGE JUST AFTER RESTARTING OF TOMCAT.
- Open Task Manager and check Tomcat7.exe (Tomcat7) or Tomcat6.exe (Tomcat6) then CPU usage should become '0' after a while then Try to open the page.
- IF NOT then There are two options : Either you can redeploy the WAR files using the KBA :1608960 OR Stop the Tomcat and then Copy the BOE Folder from <installdir>\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\warfiles\webapps and then Paste it to rootboinstall>\Tomcat\webapps folder. Restart the Tomcat.
- If the issue still persists then the War files are not correctly deployed.
- In that case you need to copy the WAR files from the working environment which is exactly at same service or patch level and replace the files in rootboinstall>\Tomcat\Webpps and restart the tomcat.
Note : It is important that when you restart the tomcat ensure the tomcat become stable and generates the cache properly in the cache folder [rootboinstall>\Tomcat\Work\Catalina\] and then only you should access the page or 404, 500 etc errors will appear.
Hope it will help.
Regards,
Mahak
