We have modified the keyword text for data element RPMKR using transaction CMOD, Goto>Text Enhancements>Keywords>Change method. We have done this for man other data elements without issue. However, for RPMKR, we have encountered a strange situation.
The text modification was successful in our DEV and QAS (test) environments. However, after migrating to PRD, the new text does not appear on the customer screen (XD01/XD02/XD03) If you do F1 on the field though, it shows the modified text as expected. The text change also appears in the data dictionary for KNA1. It is just the customer master screen display that is not picking up the new text. This was not an issue in DEV or QAS, only in our PRD environment.
We have attempted to re-migrate the change to PRD to see if that would resolve it, but it did not. We have run the program RSMODWRD to 'Restore cust.version', but that did not resolve the issue.
I did find the following OSS notes, as well as a few posts on this site, but none were applicable to our situation. And, again, we did not have any issue with the text change in DEV and QAS, only PRD.
- OSS note 302116 - noted text updates for fields having an indicator 'F - fix' were not allowed to be updated. However, this is not the issue with RPMKR in XD03. The indicator on SAPMF02D 7126 for RPMKR is 'V - Text: Variable Text transfer from dictionary'.
- OSS note 1257402 - this note was already in our system.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? It just seems to be out of sync in PRD for some reason.
Thanks in advance,
Erin
